Fantastic Sams License Questions

I came to the U.S. this week, and visited my stores located at 755 Jamacha Road yesterday. I am wondering that why the Establish License hanging on the store's wall shows the owner's name is Yang Di, rather than my name. I spoke with the regional manager, Lisa. She told me that they are changing the owner's name from Yang Di to my name, Li Ruigang. Now I have two questions: 1. When will the change of owner's name be completed? 2. Will the change of owner's name have any negative effect on my immigration application and adjudication?

Thank you,
Ruigang Li

  1. Sabrina Wall :

We checked with an immigration attorney prior to making the sale. They told us it will not effect your status because you didn’t buy the business you bought the assets of the business. There were no employees at the location because it had been closed down.

We had ordered the business licenses and are just awaiting them in the mail.

The business is in your name and has always been in your name. The license on the wall is what was been updated. You got a new one, not a transfer. This is again because you didn’t buy the business, but rather the assets and the construction that had already been done.

I’m glad you enjoyed your visit. Thank you for participating in the project.

      Thank you for your reply.

      I have another two questions:

      1. Are my salon stores located in the TEA area? I need to make sure that the stores are located in the TEA area. An investors told me that his immigration process have some problem because one of his stores’ materials did not send with the related TEA letter to the USCIS.
      2. Is the actual salon address consistent with the salon address sent to the USCIS?

      Thank you,
      Ruigang Li
